JMI audit, 2026-10-05 (evening PT)

A. App Store / TestFlight

• Memory is stale on this. The MEMORY files still say WAITING_FOR_REVIEW. Fact: project_jmi_appstore_submission.md, last entry 9/17.
• No evidence the launch was announced. Nothing in the Darryl or Jacob iMessages, or the 9/28 Jacob email 1a0ea7010038ebf7, mentions the App Store release. Inference from absence, moderate.

B. Mobile repo (~/jmi-backstage-mobile)

• Fact (git): branch jmi-build16, clean tree, HEAD 028de46 dated 9/16 ("Merge build 21"). There are no commits after build 21.
• Fact (files): app.json has version 1.0.0 and buildNumber 21. Info.plist CFBundleVersion is 21.
• Fact (git): the only remote is backup on GitHub. Local jmi-build16 equals backup/jmi-build16, so nothing is unpushed.
• Fact (doc export, public): Jacob's tester doc has only the two rounds already shipped in builds 20 and 21: the 12-note page 1 and the 4-note "Updated App Feedback" page 2. • Fact (Gmail): no app email from Melissa Hernandez or Jacob after 9/17.

C. Server + Stripe

• Fact (git): ~/trc-beta-apps-deploy main is clean. The last jmi-server commit is 7b0b9e6, 9/16 19:46 (CORS). There are no jmi commits since.
• Fact (fly releases): trc-beta-apps v302 deployed about 7 hours before the check, from other apps' syncs. Inference: the deploy is whole-repo, so live jmi-server equals HEAD. Memory says the 9/16 jmi commits shipped in v242.
• Fact (curl): https://jmi.gregspero.com/health returns ok.
• Fact (curl): /admin, /privacy, /support and /terms on jmi.gregspero.com all return 200.
• Fact (curl): /api/build/spec returns 200 with Origin jones.gregspero.com.
• Fact (curl): shop /api/shop/instruments lists 5 items, all Woo imports JMI-WOO-20307/20338/20360/20364/20370, priced $3,995 to $4,995. None of the five club wall units is in the shop database.
• Fact (curl): public shop settings are $150 instrument shipping, $15 accessory shipping, US only.
• Fact (fly ssh, key prefix only): the production Stripe key JMI_STRIPE_SECRET_KEY starts with sk_test_. A webhook secret is set. The shop takes TEST payments only. Stripe is NOT live.
• Fact (stripe.js): the code treats a key as live only when it starts with sk_live_ or rk_live_, at ~/trc-beta-apps-deploy/apps/jmi-server/stripe.js:187.

D. Jones site + DNS

• Fact (git ~/jones-instruments-site): branch main, HEAD ceb7313 dated 9/24 20:40. Nothing is unpushed against backup/main.
• Fact (git): the only untracked items are design/qa-available-2026-09-24/judge/ and wip-showroom-wall-2026-09-24/ with 3 photos.
• Fact (git): the parked branch wip/showroom-wall-photo-2026-09-24 still holds 2 unmerged commits, d49e031 and f6244e6.
• Fact (curl): these all return 200: jones.gregspero.com, /available, /custom, daryljones.gregspero.com, jmi-wall.gregspero.com, darryl.gregspero.com/stripe and jmi-pm-teoxwnhu.gregspero.com.
• Fact (curl): /custom-shop returns 404. The configurator lives at /custom.
• Fact (curl): live /available shows "Instruments you can buy today", so ceb7313 is deployed.
• Fact (~/jones-instruments-site/site/shop.js:88): CLUB_UNITS is still a hardcoded list of 5 with catalogue prices: Gresham $3,995, Stratham $3,995, Mach II $3,595, and so on.
• Fact (shop.js): the units have no serial field. They render as "Serial on request" (shop.js:357 and :670) and with a "From" price (shop.js:157). These placeholders are live.
• Fact (dig, curl): jonesmusicalinstruments.com resolves to A records 199.16.172.169 and 199.16.173.146. www is a CNAME to the apex. NS is Cloudflare (aitana and eugene).
• Fact (curl): HTTPS on the real domain serves the OLD WordPress/WooCommerce site, with title "Home - Jones Musical Instruments" and host-header wpcloud. DNS cutover has not happened.

E. Communications ledger (since 9/16)

• Stripe A/B/C choice: no evidence that Darryl ever answered, by email or iMessage. Fact from absence across the sources searched.
• Serials and prices: not received. Darryl committed to 9/30, then "another day" on 9/30, then "tomorrow" on 10/1, and nothing has come since. Fact.
• Client intro note: no draft or send of the Backstage intro note Darryl asked for on 9/21 exists in send-gate or memory. Inference from absence, moderate.
• Team board: jmi-wall-basses lead is Taji, hard deadline 2026-10-05, "Bass nameplates from Darryl". JMI Backstage app lead is Jacob. Fact: memory project_trc_team_board_2026_09_27.md lines 18, 38, 73, which source it to Greg's chat words.

F. Open items ranked by what blocks "fully live"

1. Darryl's Stripe account (owner: Darryl, chased by Greg). Production runs on sk_test_. No buyer can pay, on the site or through app deposits. Darryl never answered the 9/16 question.
2. Real domain cutover (owner: Darryl, or Greg with Darryl's Cloudflare access). jonesmusicalinstruments.com still serves WordPress. The go-live plan cannot run until Darryl gives a DNS change or Cloudflare access.
3. Serials, finish names, prices and for-sale status for the 5 wall units (owner: Darryl, chased by Jacob). Promised 9/30 and still missing. Until they arrive, /available shows "Serial on request" and "From $" from a static list, and the units cannot go into the shop DB because the shop rejects records without a unique serial.
4. Load the club units into the shop and delete the static CLUB_UNITS list (owner: Claude, once item 3 lands).
5. Site approval walk (owner: Darryl). There is no record that Darryl completed /site-check. This is an inference from absence, low.
6. Rename Woo listing JMI-WOO-20307 (owner: Claude, needs the shop admin login). The "Chatham · Red, Dark Headstock" listing is a sunburst bass and is still live in the shop API. Who holds the login is unverified.
7. Rotate the WordPress admin password (owner: Darryl). He texted it in plain text on 8/25. Source is secondhand, from memory project_jacob_fix_pass_and_jmi_wall_2026_09_24.md.
8. Announce the app (owner: Greg / Jacob). The app is live but has no recorded announcement. Darryl's client-intro note from 9/21 is unwritten. The TestFlight group can now point to the store link.
9. Fix stale memory (owner: Claude). DONE 10/5 evening: project_jmi_appstore_submission.md now records READY_FOR_SALE as of 9/24, plus a new project_jmi_jones_audit_2026_10_05.md.
10. Wall photo branch (owner: Greg). wip/showroom-wall-photo-2026-09-24 is waiting on "ship the wall photo".
11. PM hire (owner: Jacob). The target was about 10/13. No Gmail evidence of candidates or progress since Greg's 9/17 hand-off.
12. Jacob's look book (owner: Darryl, then Jacob). It waits on new photos from Darryl.

G. Could not verify

• Gmail coverage: I read greg@weebid.app and info@therecording.club through the stored Gmail OAuth tokens. The greg@gregspero.com ("seam") token returned invalid_grant. The trc, gmail and iCloud mailboxes were not searched. No Gmail MCP tool was exposed to this worker.
• Superhuman drafts: not checked. That MCP needs authentication.
• Jacob's website notes doc (1d3E6qy…): the export returned 401. I could not tell whether it has new notes after 9/24.
• Darryl's Jones_Clients iCloud note: contents not fetched.
• Phone calls or in-person talks with Darryl after 9/16: no source. The send-gate retire note "You and Darryl talked after the run" is secondhand and unsourced.
• Live Stripe account: whether Darryl or TRC has created a live account outside these channels is unknown.
• Site check: whether Darryl ever opened darryl.gregspero.com/site-check or /stripe is unknown. No access logs were checked.
• Admin login holder: who holds the jmi shop admin login for the Woo rename is unknown.
• Expedite request: its outcome is unknown. The app was approved 9/24, about a week after the 9/17 request, so whether the expedite mattered is unclear.
• Second In Review on 9/24: the cause is unknown.
• Install counts: not pulled. The analytics API was not queried.
